In the Meanwhile....

I've been busy doing photo shoots and tending to my responsibilities of the discipleship program I am in this year. So you can imagine how busy I've been!
This week we are in Mobile, Alabama helping with a House of Horrors. It's been great fun. I have great pics! I'll post them here soon. God is doing great things!
Wanted to let you guys know that my trip to Guatemala is right around the corner. It's going to be great! As of today $1300.00 has come in for my missions trips. Africa is in January! Thanks you guys for helping me make it there. I am blessed knowing that you believe in me and that God can and will use me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

In the beginning

Dear friends,
I can remember how i would sit in my 1st grade class as my teacher, Sister Juanita Green, would tell us vivid stories of her mission journeys to the Massai tribe in Africa. I distinctly remember saying “I want to go there one day.” I did not think that 16 yrs later and I finally have the opportunity to do so!
This year I have committed myself to the discipleship-training program at Crossroads Church in Lafayette La. As part of my training I get the opportunity to fulfill my childhood dream of going and ministering to the Massai tribes of Kenya and an additional opportunity to go to work at an orphanage in Guatemala called Casa de Ninos Alellua. As you know, I have always had a passion for ministering to children,so this will be a wonderful experience for me!
The combined trips are $3,300. Departure dates are November 16, 2009 to Guatemala and January 18, 2010 to Kenya.
